Soups & Bread Bowls: Marry Me Chicken Soup, Chicken Pot Pie Soup, & Homemade Italian Bread Bowls!

Warm, comforting soups are always a welcome addition to any table and even better when served in fresh, homemade Italian bread bowls. Join this cook-along experience and create two flavorful, from-scratch soups along with artisan-style bread bowls baked right in your own kitchen.

Participants will prepare the instructors' versions of Marry Me Chicken Soup—a rich, creamy, flavor-packed favorite, and Chicken Pot Pie Soup—a comforting classic with a hearty, savory twist. You’ll also learn to make Chef Tess’ signature Italian Bread Bowls from scratch, perfect for serving and sopping up the soups with! Choose one soup to cook-along with while the other is created, or make both for the full experience.

Recipes are taught step-by-step using an electric multi-cooker or on the stovetop, so you can cook with whatever tools you have. This interactive, real-time experience will leave you with reliable, go-to original recipes that are sure to become family favorites.

Equipment Needs: Electric Multi-Cooker such as an Instant Pot® (optional), heavy-bottom soup pot, a stand-mixer and dough hook are also recommended for the making of the bread bowls. If a stand mixer is not available, dough can be made by hand. More info will be provided in the ingredient list packet.

The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.

The week of class, you will receive an email with an ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom link. A few days after class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the session.

Tess Georgakopoulos has been cooking since she was roughly six years old -- well over forty years. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using one's senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with one's own hands and creativity, was, and continues to be, an expression of love in her home. As a skilled home-cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. She has recently started writing her first cookbook, and has a food blog in the works.
