FIRST Tech Challenge | grades 7-12

This is way more than building robots! FIRST Tech Challenge is an exciting opportunity to develop STEM skills while learning teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Participants will apply real-world engineering principles, including maintaining an engineering notebook, brainstorming solutions, and collaborating with teammates to overcome challenges.

Teams will design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in exciting head-to-head matches in an alliance format. Participants call it "the hardest fun you will ever have!"

Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students will also develop leadership and communication skills by creating and marketing a team brand and participating in community outreach activities. Teams will compete in one scrimmage, three league meets, and one league qualifier, with the possibility of advancing to the State competition.
