Clay Sampler: Family Clay Sampler | age 2+ w/adult
Share the experience and tactile joy of working with clay as a family! Explore various techniques such as hand building, coil, slab, and wheel throwing—approachable methods that ensure success for artists of all skill levels. Add the perfect finishing touch to your creations with a wide range of glazing options. Whether your project is functional, sculptural, or purely decorative, there's plenty of room for imagination and personal expression. Please wear old clothing to the class as working with clay can be messy, but rewarding! We want you to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about your clothes. Register all participating family members. Maximum of 4 students/youth per adult. Project Pick-up: Completed projects will be fired in the kiln and made available for pick-up one week after the final class. This allows us to ensure that your creations are properly finished and ready for you to take home. -
Clay Sampler: for Youth | age 9-16
Join us for a memorable, engaging, and rewarding four-week clay workshop. Throughout the session, you’ll focus on developing foundational skills as you explore several hand-building techniques—or try your hand at throwing on the pottery wheel. The first three classes will concentrate on shaping and refining your work using wet clay. Once your pieces have dried and been bisque-fired, the final class will be dedicated to glazing, where you’ll add color and personality to your finished creations. Whether you’re new to clay or looking to strengthen your skills, this workshop offers a rewarding creative experience from start to finish. All completed projects will be available for pick-up one week after the final class. -

Dive into a world of creativity! Learn about resin art as you make charms and necklaces, shape polymer clay masterpieces, and experience the art of candle making. Perfect for all levels, you'll learn unique techniques, create amazing keepsakes, and discover the joy of hands-on creativity! Drawlandia | grades K-5
Back-to-school creativity starts here! In this 4-week class, students will explore a fascinating world of characters, patterns, texture and vibrant color. Appetites don’t stand a chance against the realistic Pizza drawing our students will create as they focus on proportion, detail, and shading techniques. Our adorable Baby Sloth will help students practice expression and character design, while our art history portrait of Hiawatha introduces cultural appreciation and portrait composition just in time to celebrate the fall season. Each lesson blends imagination with strong art fundamentals.• Parents/Guardians: Please send permission to school informing staff that your student will be staying after for a Community Education activity. Messy Masterpieces: Papier-Mâché Sculptures | age 10-15
Students will learn how to build an armature, or support system, for an animal form. We will use aluminum foil, tape, newspaper, and discarded objects to build the mass of the sculpture onto the support. Then we will use wheat paste, newspaper and colored paper to add a smooth surface to the form of the animal. Finally, we will embellish the final form with bright colors of tissue, various papers, and polymer glues. You may work as an independent artist, or invite a sibling, parent partner, or friend as your assistant. This project will prepare you for those student projects your teachers may assign in school, like building a volcano! Paula will teach you lots of methods, tricks, and share resources. Printmaking Lab: Carve, Ink, Repeat | age 10-15
Dive into the bold and creative world of printmaking! In this hands-on class, you will experiment with several printmaking methods using linocuts. Students will use linoleum and carving tools to create their own designs and print them using multiple colors of ink. This process allows you to make multiple copies of your artwork while learning how layered color printing works. You will also explore using plates to create mirror-image prints and stamped designs.
