Campers will enjoy a hands-on introduction to horses at Boulder Pointe! Participants will have the opportunity to ride a real horse in a safe, enclosed arena, meet several different horses, and learn basic grooming skills—all with a strong emphasis on safety. In addition to the equestrian activities, campers will complete a fun art project and make special horse treats to feed their new four-legged friends. Activities are organized into rotating stations to keep everyone engaged and excited. Parents are encouraged to walk alongside their child while they ride and are welcome to take photos during the experience. The class fee includes one parent/guardian and one child. Please note: A parent or guardian must remain with their child at all times. Step into the boots of a real horse lover and enjoy a hands-on barn adventure! Campers will experience everyday life at the barn with daily riding, grooming, feeding, and caring for the horses—including bath time and learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon. Each day brings time outdoors, new skills, and plenty of chances to make lasting friendships in a structured, positive, and welcoming environment. Riding time is about one hour per day in the arena (no trail rides), where campers will build confidence as they learn how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot independently. Campers are grouped with others who share a similar riding experience, so everyone feels comfortable and supported. What to Wear & Bring Long pants and closed-toed shoes (no flip-flops!)
