Just in time for game day, this hands-on cook-along brings two retro favorites back to the table: Sicilian-style pizza and Stromboli—both delicious, crowd-pleasing favorites perfect for game-day gatherings, family nights and entertaining. Using Chef Tess’ personal recipes, participants will learn to make versatile pizza dough, a wonderful pizza sauce and use them as components to create these two pizza classics! Participants will also learn professional tips for working with yeast dough, shaping Sicilian pizza, tips for filling and rolling Stromboli, and baking both to delicious crisp, fully cooked perfection. Discover the differences between these two styles, along with techniques for preventing soft, soggy or undercooked dough. Learn the techniques, make the dough, and bring these classic pizza-shop favorites back to your own kitchen! Equipment Needs: Stand mixer with dough hook attachment, standard sized sheet pans. Several days before class, you will receive an email with an ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom video conferencing link. A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class. The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.
