Creamy Chicken & Wild-Rice Soup, Classic Chili & Homemade Italian Bread Bowls
Warm, comforting, and delicious—what could be better on a chilly day than a bowl of homemade soup or chili served inside a freshly baked Italian bread bowl? In this cozy cook-along, you’ll learn to make two of Chef Tess’ favorite comfort food recipes: her classic Minnesota-style Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice Soup, and hearty Classic Chili, along with soft, delicious Italian bread bowls baked from scratch.
Choose one recipe to cook along with, and watch a demonstration of the other, or make both! Both recipes will include instructions for the multi-cooker (any brand) as well as the stovetop, so you can use the cooking method that works best for you. Helpful tips and tricks for getting the most from your multi-cooker will also be shared.
Equipment Needs: An electric multi-cooker such as an Instant Pot® (optional), a heavy-bottom soup pot, a stand mixer and dough hook are also recommended for making the bread bowls. If a stand mixer is not available, the dough can be made by hand. More information will be provided in the ingredient list packet.
Several days before class, you will receive an email with an ingredient and supply list, prep packet, and Zoom video conferencing link. A few days after the class, you will receive an additional email with the recipes used during the class.
The registration fee covers immediate family members living in the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.
Tess Georgakopoulos
Instructor
Tess Georgakopoulos has been cooking since she was roughly six years old -- well over forty years. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using one's senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with one's own hands and creativity, was, and continues to be, an expression of love in her home. As a skilled home-cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. She has recently started writing her first cookbook, and has a food blog in the works.
