Driver's License Knowledge Test | age 15+

Take your permit test with us! ISD 728 Community Education has been approved as a Remote Web-based Knowledge Testing Site for the Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles. Testing is held at one of our district schools.

Requirements:

• Completed and passed your 30 hours of classroom instruction with ISD 728 Community Education
• Been issued your electronic Blue Card
• Turned 15 by the testing date
• Have the required identification with you on the testing date
  • Original birth certificate or unexpired passport
  • Social Security card
• Returned the textbook
• Registered through the Community Education registration system (see note below)

If these requirements are not met, you will be ineligible to take the Knowledge Test.

Complete details are available from your classroom instructor. If you take and fail the test with us three times, you must take subsequent tests at a State testing site. 

PLEASE NOTE: Students registered for ISD 728 Community Education Driver's Education full classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel packages that start after January 1, 2024, may take one Knowledge Test at no additional charge. The test fee is included in the cost of your package. If you took a class before January 1, 2024, or if you need to take the test a second time, please call our office at 763-241-3520 to register and pay the fee.
