Book Cooks | age 6-11

Combine storytelling and cooking in this fun and engaging class! Students will read heartwarming books such as POP! The Kernel Who Didn’t Pop and The Jelly Donut Difference, while exploring valuable lessons on sharing, belonging, and kindness. After each story, head to the kitchen to create delicious recipes inspired by the book's theme.

This class blends literacy and culinary skills, helping young chefs become kinder humans and more confident cooks!

*** Registering for a morning and an afternoon class at the same location? Join the "Lunch Bunch!" Community Education will provide a supervised hour between classes for you to enjoy the lunch you brought from home, then will get you to your afternoon class. Lunches should be nut-free and should include a beverage. No resources are available for refrigeration or to heat lunches, so plan accordingly.

Parents/Guardians: please answer "Yes" to the Lunch Bunch question when registering for the morning class. There is no charge, but we need to know who is staying with us for the hour. ***
